John Taylor - Founder & Principal Consultant
John G. Taylor is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Supply Chain Intelligence, LLC, a boutique advisory firm helping corporate enterprises sharpen their approach to procurement, strategic sourcing, and employee benefits. Trained as both a lawyer and an actuary, John brings a rare combination of legal precision and quantitative rigor to complex sourcing and compensation decisions.
John's four-decade career bridges two complementary disciplines: corporate compensation & benefits and strategic enterprise procurement. After spending his first 20+ years in consulting and corporate HR leadership, he expanded his focus to enterprise sourcing. Over the next two decades at Citigroup and New York Life, he established high-impact category practices and developed novel sourcing strategies. This rare dual perspective gives him an insider's understanding of enterprise buyers' pressures and priorities, directly shaping Supply Chain Intelligence's practical, data-driven, and results-focused approach.
John is also a service-disabled veteran, and Supply Chain Intelligence is a veteran-owned business: a distinction that opens preferential contracting pathways for clients with supplier diversity goals, alongside the firm's core advisory expertise.
